Pen (and Touch) Computing from a Wacom Point of View

Abstract: An introduction to the use of the pen in the workplace and home. Practical usages and applications for the pen, as well as touch input will be discussed and examples will be demonstrated. The base technologies involved will be introduced and reviewed, as well as demonstrations of current uses in the market, as well as a demonstration of near term future
technologies.

Biography: Steve Sedaker is the Director of Component Sales in Wacom’s Component Division. Steve is responsible for the deployment of Wacom’s pen and touch technologies into devices developed by Wacom’s OEM customers. Steve has been closely involved with the development of the
Tablet PC market, and the introduction of multitouch into new markets, and the introduction of pen and touch into new markets such as ereaders. Steve has also held various roles in Marketing, Sales and Engineering in the display industry for many years.

Steve Smith is Wacom’s Business Development Manager focused on providing Interactive Pen Display solutions to enterprise clients involved in digital content creation, enhancing workflow in 2D and 3D applications and the communication of ideas. Steve’s experience at Wacom includes sales channel management, regional sales management, and the management of the field sales organization.
