All-Around Gaming Demostrated with Microvision’s PicoP
Display Engine

David Lashmet, Product Marketing Manager
Microvision

Abstract: "All-around gaming" is a new paradigm of video game play enabled by two novel features of Microvision's PicoP Display Engine (PDE): Infinite Focus and Instant Color. To explain these two features, we will describe the oscillating biaxial MEMS mirror used in the PDE, and the integrated photonics module that directs laser light to this mirror. Then we will cover the market scope of this technology application, and the market
response to this product concept. But we will reserve much of this session to allow the SID-NW participants to try out our proof of concept prototypes, to feel this immersive experience for themselves.
